DANIKA & ASHWIN
One of the most intricate ceremonies we’ve had the luxury of planning, Danika and Ashwin’s nuptials were a gloriously modern Indian Parsi ceremony held in Galle. The celebrations spanned over the course of two days, starting with a vibrant mehendi ceremony and a pool party which revolved around a bright fuchsia, orange, and yellow colour palette, and a sangeet that was beautified by striking tones of pink, fuchsia, orange and maroon. The baraat amplified the joy of the festivities, even as intimate as it was. The wedding rituals harmoniously blended the traditional Indian culture with modern traces. Ashwin made an unforgettable entrance as he rode in on a bullock cart, to exchange vows with the beautiful Danika, who was the epitome of grace in her eggshell-white saree. The white flowers and greenery at the ceremony and the reception gave the occasion just the right pop of colour, while the hanging flowers and lights created an ambient atmosphere.The floating votives in the centre pool, the lounge area and the photo booth contributed to making this evening more special. One of the highlights of the wedding was the unconventional mandap, festooned with flowers.
