Lauren and Haydon’s wedding was a celebration of their romance. The boho-themed wedding took place at a private villa in Bentota, on the golden sandy beach while the waves crashed softly against the shore, as the couple stood in the centre of a colourful flower ring and took their vows. The ribbon-adorned poles lined the aisle when flower petals in vibrant colours created a carpet for them to walk down the aisle. True to the signage at the entrance which read “drink in hand, toes in the sand”, the guests were treated to a round of cocktails before a lavish buffet. The couple had handpicked an exquisite set of mix-and-match antique wooden chairs with bright ribbons, which served as the seating for the reception. Each of the table settings had hand-painted wooden elephants holding the guest’s name cards, and the centrepieces were a mix of tinted bottles, candle holders, vintage books and an array of flowers. The head table with the happy couple and their families had ribbons and coloured bottles hanging above it. Strings of chinese lanterns with festoon lights were hung across a central swimming pool which reflected on the water and created a magical ambience.
