Priya who comes from Indian roots, flew down from Singapore to Sri Lanka with her American beau and their loved ones to have the perfect destination wedding that blended the east and west with beautiful harmony. The first was the Hindu ceremony, which consisted of a mehendi ceremony that painted the occasion a stunning orange, gold, red and white hue with decorations like pillows and mats to create a relaxed lounge seating. Bindi and bangles were handed out as favors at the mehendi which was held at a restaurant in a luxury Colombo hotel. This was followed by a sangeet that blended Bollywood and Arabian glory together, through colourful drapes and exotic flower arrangements. The customised mandala on the dance floor, karaoke, and the ceiling lights elevated the evening to newfound heights. Priya and Ryan had a traditional red and white wedding with a touch of modern glamor, the day after the mehendi ceremony. The groom looked majestic as he rode in on a white horse, to meet his beautiful bride in her red lehenga escorted by her sister. The wedding reception was elegant and classy, with shades of gold, white and red. Handcrafted soaps were given out as wedding favours to all of the guests.
